Happy Birthday celebration at the office. He had to run through the banner.

At Zone Conference they have the birthday missionary stand up and people say something about them. Here are some of the remarks for Elder Peterson's birthday.

Power: Great for 21 years old. Does more with papers than everyone. He is exactly on top and on the ball. Love the man.

Dickson: Jokes amazing. I have to think about a joke for 10 min and then it is totally worth it.
He is a Legend Works real hard for all missionary. Prepares for them. Wants the best.

Fisher:. Hard working man, very personal and takes time out of day and takes time to ask us how things are going.

Sis Kjar: Came down to RS birthday party. Has such a good spirit and so willing to help and do things special for us.

Tillotson: Amazing, fun. Wish I was born 35 years ago. Hang out with him. And I will do it now. Applies himself to work, great sense of humor.

Sis Kelly: Has right to be most stressed out person, has a million things to do, always happy, He says ok we can do that and always has a joke, know he works so hard, but has time for us.

Diligent person I saw what his responsibilities are and he does amazing.

He has concern for each of the missionaries along with other things.

President Olauson: So fun to talk to, informative and has great things to say. I visit with him. Knows he works joyfully after everybody has gone to sleep. If I had his job, I would be dead in the water. Expertise in keeping things moving. Had a chance to hang around him, Appreciate him and he is a wonderful person. Odd sense of humor. Enjoy watching batering and love between companionship in office.


Smart man and can answer question and makes it very enjoyable.

Hoffman: Sense of humor. Taught me about baptism and explained it so well.

Olsen: Looking at Elder Peterson’s desk of what he has to put up with I would have gone home. Way cools and rolls with punches.

Agree with all that he is diligent funny, hardworking and clever. Coolest missionary stories and could talk forever. Wonderful, thanks for all you do.

Dickison: His life is wonderful and his wisdom in life is woven like stitches out of all the colors of the rainbow and woven with such a pattern. His life is like a tapestry. He can look at that tapestry and say “I lived that life”. I can weave that life. Wants a life of experience and I have learned from it.

Jensen: So helpful, we puncture our tire and he solved the problems. Didn’t have cash to pay, so he drove up and gave us the money and took time out of his day to help us. Really cares about missionaries.

Is the man

Has the best sense of humor. Takes 4 min to understand his joke and then it is something real funny.

Elder Ivy: “I want to train under Elder Peterson and go to Faroe Islands”

Utility man and he fixed our shower.

Know that Elder Peterson works in office and also gives out cards as street missionary all the time.
Knew me in MTC and have respect for him because he deals with all our money

Ladies man

Good missionary as well a accounting. He visited our ward and helped with the lesson, I could tell he was a good teacher.

Always happy

Tons of stuff to deal with and deals with it.

I know that he has tons of stuff to do and doesn’t complain and ready to do it.
Willing to help you.

He is the man every month

Gave him bill for car and he was composed and didn’t frek out.

I heard about the many different occupations, amazingly talented in the world. Knows something about everything.

Kader: He has so much on his plate, he always has papers lined up on desk he is working on and know exactly what to do and knows what paper is for. He will bail you out in Kopenhagen and he would always give you information when we needed it and helped us.

He doesn’t just deal with money problems, without him the mission would not function, He is kind and patient, Never seen someone more motivated to live life.

Thanks you for your patience and expertise. I feel the same, the mission would not run wih out him. Great to have in our mission.

He is a great husband, father and friend. He does everything for me, from washing the dishes, making our bed, carry all my suff to the office and home, to opening the door for me. I love my eternal companion.

Well, another week has gone by and we are as busy as ever. We went to a cute young coupls’s apartment for dinner on Monday night. They have a real nice small apartment like ours and have decorated it up really cute. I took pictures of it but deleted them when I was trying to clear my card and didn’t realize they were there. So you will just have to imagine it or come for your self.

We have been busy with getting the Banner monthly letter out and helping the President. Elder Peterson finally bought a new car for the Preisdent. It is a Sharon Volkswagon camper. It was the only Sharon in the country and just what the President wanted. It just has a higher roof and a small kitchen piece and they call it a camper. Because of this, we got a tax savings and only had to pay 60% tax instead of 180% of the total costs of car. We saved the church about $18,300, and the President is tickled pink as he has two daughters and they will love it.


Our President is a very special man and very spiritual. He is having to rely on the promptings of the Lord and on us for his decision. Relying on us is the scary part. There is a lot we don’t know about running this mission. But we are learning fast to assist him in the things he needs to do. He wife, Maggie is a dear. We have had a lot of fun talks and shopping experiences.

We bought them a GPS so they won't get lost. We don't want them lost for 3 months like we were. I am teaching Sister Olauson how to drive in Denmark and where to shop. You can find almost everything here for a price. She found a hand sewing machianes at the Loppe Marked. It is a beautiful antique. We have a lot of fun on "P" day looking at people's junk, but sometimes we find things we can use for the apartments. We have found a lot of things we could use in our apartment. The couple that takes our place will have all the stuff they need, thanks to my flee market shopping.

The Elders Kader, Hoffman, Jenson and Lodholm came in and brought me a little straberry cream pie for my birthday. They are so cute and thoughtful. The roses are from my companion. It was a fun day with a lot of attention. I might be expecting all this attention next year. Get prepared.

On our excursion across the bridge to the Jylland pensinula where the greater part of Denmark is, we drove up to Rebild Park where the statue representing the Mormon emigration called "The Family" is located. It was created by Dennis Smith, the sculptor. This is Elder Peterson at the Family statue pointing to the brick representing his great grandpa who came across in 1852. Rebild is where they celebrate the American 4th of July every year.

This statue represents a family of converts that are leaving Denmark and are looking forward to starting a new life in Zion, and joining the Saints. However, Grandma is on the back of the statue looking back to Denmark where all her memories are.
