We are doing great over here in Demark. I love my view out of my apartment. The sky is so beautiful and colorful. It seems to rain a lot, almost everyday. Sometimes it is beautiful and hot and the next hour it is pouring rain and a little cool. What a summer. We are enjoying the light and seeing so much. It doesn't get dark now until about 10:30pm. We have gone on walks through the beautiful castle gardens and in the king's hunting forest. Gary's birthday was spent working all day and putting out the fires. We have new computers that aren't quite set up. It becomes frustrating and Elder Peterson comes to the rescue, yes Steve, your Dad is learning how to solve the computer problems.

We went for a walk in the park and then decided to go out to dinner on Sat. We found a real nice Chinese buffet for only 58K which is about $10.00 for lunch. Of course this was after I went to the Loppy Market with a friend and found an icecream maker, and Gary worked for a couple of hours. We then found the Idl grocery store which is a lot cheaper than Aldi or Nettos and has a lot more things. It is a German store and they have a lot of English things so you can read the labels. That was fun. We were home by 7pm and just relaxed.

Sunday as usual we took Sister Nielson to church and after they had a lunch. On the 5th Sunday, a lot of people stay for a social. We had about 40 people there. One of the young couples invited us over for dinner tomorrow. We wonder why they want the old missionary over but maybe we are fun. I think on the next blog I will put in all the nice things the Elders' said about Gary during zone conference. But for now, Good night.

They gathered to burn the witch and send all witches to Germany. All the scandinavian countries have fires all over the beaches and parks on this day to burn the witches. I guess they use to be real witches they burned. But they still celebrate it. Wierd

Another week has gone by. We said our good bys to President and Sister Williams. It was a great celebration to see them close their 3 years of service for the Copenhagen Denmark Mission. Expressions of love circulated during our last converence. We presented them with a slide presentation with video clips of all the missionaries thanking them for their love and support and saying goodbye. Thanks to Elders Power and Dickison we have a very memorable CD which includes a slide show of a few of our favorite pictures telling about our service here in Denmark. They are going to be missed.


Our new President, President and Sister Olauson and Alta and Maya, will add an additional touch to our mission. As we begin the last half of our mission, we look forward to growing more in the gospel and being apart of a great rededication to spreading the gospel here in Denmark.
